THE EXPERIMENT
This watch explores how reflective metallic accents interact with a darker monochromatic base. Illuminated detailing is introduced selectively across the chronograph layout, allowing light to move differently across the bezel, hands, indexes, and subdials without overwhelming the overall composition. The result maintains the restrained identity of the Polychrono platform while introducing a more luminous and elevated expression of the design.
MATERIAL SCIENCE
The lightweight polycarbonate case reduces both physical and visual weight while maintaining the geometric structure of the Polychrono platform. Reflective metallic detailing across the bezel, indexes, hands, and chronograph elements introduces illuminated surfaces that interact dynamically with changing light conditions. Layered subdials and integrated chronograph functions maintain legibility, while anti-reflective mineral glass helps preserve clarity across the dial and reduces glare against the darker monochromatic base.

The lightweight polycarbonate case maintains the same controlled surface and reduced visual weight, while the chronograph layout adds an additional layer of use. Stopwatch functionality measures elapsed time with precision, supported by a Japanese movement, while a day counter tracks the progression of the month. Each element is integrated into the dial without overwhelming it, allowing the watch to remain legible and composed.
