THE EXPERIMENT

This watch explores how separating the dial visually from the surrounding case changes the perception of the chronograph structure. The lighter dial surface brings greater emphasis to the layered subdials, indexes, and timing functions, allowing the architecture of the watch to become more pronounced. This graphic and technical interpretation of the Polychrono platform is shaped through color, layering, and proportion.

MATERIAL SCIENCE

The chronograph layout introduces layered depth through a colourful dial, recessed subdials and applied indexes that sharpen the structure of the watch. Contrasting crown details in blue tones introduce additional visual distinction against the grey case, reinforcing the graphic composition of the watch. The geometric bezel sharpens the architectural framing of the dial, while anti-reflective mineral glass preserves clarity and reduces glare across changing light conditions. Integrated construction and balanced proportions maintain a lightweight feel on the wrist despite the added complexity of the chronograph layout.

POLYCHRONO

Polychrono builds on the Polycarbon platform by introducing function. The lightweight polycarbonate case maintains the same controlled surface and reduced visual weight, while the chronograph layout adds an additional layer of use. Stopwatch functionality measures elapsed time with precision, supported by a Japanese movement, while a day counter tracks the progression of the month. Each element is integrated into the dial without overwhelming it, allowing the watch to remain legible and composed.
