THE EXPERIMENT
Rather than relying on a single design language, this watch explores how different references can converge within one cohesive composition. The California dial brings Roman and Arabic numerals together in a layout that has remained distinctive for decades, while the matching blue leather strap and sunray-finished dial reinforce a unified visual identity. Gold-plated hands and indices complete the composition, creating a design where every element works together with clarity, balance and restraint.
The stainless steel case provides strength and durability while maintaining the slim proportions of the Ultra Thin 1970 collection. The sunray-finished dial reflects light with subtle variation, adding depth to the surface without compromising the clarity of the California layout. The calf leather strap introduces a softer, tactile finish that complements the warmth of the dial. A sapphire crystal with blue anti-reflective coating preserves clarity and reduces glare, ensuring the balance of typography, material and finish remains clear in changing light.
